In 2007, a small factory was born in Kunshan, China, just 40 miles from Shanghai. At a time when most were focused on mass production and low-cost shortcuts, we at HIPINS decided to pursue a different path — one paved with craftsmanship, creativity, and above all, trust.

What started as a modest workshop for custom metal gifts has since evolved into a full-scale manufacturing powerhouse specializing in lapel pins, challenge coins, medals, patches, and other promotional collectibles. When a U.S. military memorabilia brand approached us for their challenge coins, they were hesitant. They had tried several suppliers and faced delays and inconsistent quality. Their Kickstarter campaign hit its funding goal within 48 hours, with fans raving about the pins.

A designer from the UK wanted a 3D dragon pin that looked “alive.” Using a blend of raised lines, recessed soft enamel, and sandblasted backgrounds, we gave the dragon scales a shimmering, lifelike appearance. That pin became a best-seller at London Comic Con.
