Pin Design Details

The client’s anime-themed enamel pin design featured a cozy anime-style indoor scene with four characters and subtle background details such as a window, pets, and a table. The anime-themed enamel pin design details included:

• High Color Accuracy: A total of 20 vibrant colors, including translucent enamel and pearl no swirl effects
• Mixed Enamel Techniques: Hard enamel for a durable, smooth finish and soft enamel for added texture and depth in selected areas.
• Gold Metal Border: To enhance this anime-themed enamel pin’s luxurious appearance.
• Limited-Edition Back Features: The anime-themed enamel pin needed laser engraved numbers (e.g., XX/25) to emphasize its collectible value.
• Backside: In addition to the laser engraved numbers on the back, there was also a backstamp.
• Protective Packaging: Ensuring safe delivery with PVC bags and bubble wrap.

Design Analysis

From the materials provided, three key images were reviewed:

1. Original Artwork:
   • A warm and playful indoor scene featuring four anime characters interacting with pets (a cat and a rabbit).
   • The anime-themed enamel pin design relied on soft gradients, pearl finishes, and detailed facial expressions to bring the characters to life.
2. Finished Product:
   • The completed pin closely matched the original artwork, with sharp color contrasts and polished gold-plated edges.
   • Character expressions, background elements, and even minor details such as the pet designs were rendered with exceptional clarity.
3. Production Template:
   • A detailed production guide showing precise color zones, metal partition lines, and enamel filling instructions.
   • Specific Pantone color codes (e.g., 7612, 7544) ensured consistency throughout the process.

Production Process

The production process combined state-of-the-art techniques with meticulous attention to detail to deliver a flawless product.

Key Steps:

1. Mold Creation:
   • A 3.0MM zinc alloy mold was engraved, ensuring fine details like character outlines and background patterns were perfectly captured.
2. Enamel Filling:
   • Hard enamel was used for most of the design, providing a smooth and durable surface.
   • In addition to hard enamel, soft enamel was used for white part of the tree. We filled soft enamel colors after plating.
3. Wet Grinding:
   • Wet grinding was a step for this pin production process. (Soft enamel part didn’t need this step.)
4. Polishing:
   • Each pin was polished to create a smooth surface.
5. Plating
   • The anime-themed enamel pins were plated with gold to create a vibrant and durable frame that elevated the design’s visual appeal.
6. Screen Print
   • For some details of this anime-themed enamel pin design, such as features of the face, we needed to do screen print.
7. Laser Engraving:
   • The back was laser engraved with a sequential numbering system (e.g., XX/25) to denote its limited-edition status.

Post-Production Details

Packaging and Quality Control:

• After production, each pin underwent a rigorous quality control process to ensure all details, from colors to metalwork, met the client’s high standards.
• Pins were individually packed in PVC bags with bubble wrap for secure transport, preventing damage during shipping.
