Attention all customers and partners!
We would like to bring to your attention significant changes in the U.S. import regulations that will affect shipments from China, beginning February 1, 2025.
Key Change: Removal of Tariff Exemption for Shipments Under $800
Previously, shipments with a value of less than $800 were exempt from tariffs. However, this exemption has now been removed, and all shipments from China will now be subject to import duties.
Understanding the New U.S. Tariff Policy
In addition to the previously existing tariffs, an additional 10% tariff has been imposed on all imports. The total estimated tariff rate for shipments from China will now reach approximately 30%, including existing duties and customs fees.
To help you better understand how these changes will affect you, here’s a breakdown of how the tariff will be calculated:
- Each carton will be declared at a value of $30-$50.
- Each shipment will not exceed $150 in total value.
Estimated Duty to be Paid Based on Carton Numbers:
| Number of Cartons | Estimated Duty to be Paid |
|---|
| 1 carton | $15 |
| 2 cartons | $30 |
| 3 cartons | $45 |
Shipping & Duty Process
Most couriers, including FedEx, UPS, and DHL, will issue a tax bill either at the time of delivery or shortly afterward.
Important Notice:
- Customers will be responsible for paying the import duty at the time of delivery to avoid delays or additional charges.
- If you’d like to make any adjustments to your shipping method, please notify us in advance. We will be happy to assist you with alternative options to minimize any additional fees.
Why is This Important for You?
