Design Translation: From Art to Pin

The concept artwork showcased a carefully balanced palette: pearl white for the veil, warm neutrals for skin, and metallic gold for jewelry. Cool grays were used for depth, while deep accent tones enhanced the shadows. The metal linework was designed thick enough to withstand stamping but fine enough to preserve elegance at the large 3″ scale. Crafting Process & Materials

Base & Thickness. We selected a 3.0 mm thick metal base for durability and a premium, weighty feel.

Hard-Enamel Fill. Imitation enamel was chosen to achieve a smooth, polished surface. After curing, the enamel was stoned and polished so the metal and color layers sat nearly flush, producing a jewelry-grade finish.

Pearl & Glitter Effects. The veil uses pearlescent white for a soft glow. Clear micro-glitter was added sparingly to trims, catching light at certain angles without distracting from facial details.

Printed Micro-Details. To retain the precise look of the eyes, lashes, and fine cloak motifs, a spot print layer was applied over the enamel. This allowed detail beyond what could be achieved with raised metal alone.

Metal Finish. Polished gold plating was used for all metal lines and edges, complementing both the pearl veil and the warm skin tone.

Color & Finish Choices

The palette was carefully matched to the artwork. Colors were slightly desaturated to make the pearl white stand out without washing out in photos. Gold lines were left unfilled to maintain a bright metallic shine.
