Design and Production Specifications
The Flow of Time Set is a high-end collector’s pin series produced by HIPINS for Client 537. Each pin in the set measures 2.5 inches in diameter and features an intricate fantasy-inspired illustration with exceptional craftsmanship. The pins were crafted using a combination of hard enamel + printing, with raised gold metal plating for added elegance and durability.
Both designs utilized 2.5MM zinc alloy molds, ensuring a solid and substantial feel. To enhance visual appeal, the production included pearl enamel (with and without swirl) and clear glitter effects to highlight specific design elements like hair strands, ornamental borders, and magical motifs. These shimmering accents added depth and fantasy charm to the pieces, aligning with the mystical theme of the artwork.
The reverse side of each pin features a custom backstamp, including the collection name The Flow of Time, the edition information (Limited Edition 50), and the artist credit (Art by Rutiwa). Each pin is secured with 2 rubber clutches and packaged in PVC bags with bubble wrap, ensuring protection during transit.
Communication Process
The success of this project was due in large part to clear and professional communication between HIPINS and the client throughout the entire development cycle. After the client submitted the initial artwork, the HIPINS design team translated the concepts into production-ready layouts, carefully mapping enamel colors and identifying areas for special finishes.
Once the digital artwork proofs were sent, the client promptly responded with:
“Approved, thank you!”
This fast approval enabled HIPINS to quickly move forward with mold making and color sampling. Once the first round of physical samples was ready, photos were sent to the client, who responded with:
“Thanks! Run with mass-production now.”
This efficient communication minimized delays and helped ensure on-time delivery, even with the added complexity of glitter and pearl effects.
Post-Production and Client Feedback
After mass production, the pins were inspected for quality, focusing on color fidelity, plating consistency, and clean printing. Extra attention was given to the glitter and pearl swirl areas, which can be more sensitive to temperature and curing conditions during manufacturing.
The final pins closely matched the original artwork, with clear definition in the linework, vibrant color tones, and a smooth, luxurious finish. The client received the full production batch packaged securely and on schedule.
Post-delivery, feedback was highly positive. The client praised the craftsmanship and color execution and confirmed their satisfaction with the result. As a limited edition item, the pins were soon showcased on social media, drawing attention from collectors and fans of fantasy art.

FAQs
Q1: Can I use glitter and pearl effects on one design?
Yes! HIPINS supports combining glitter, pearl swirl, and standard enamel in one pin, just like The Flow of Time Set. Our team can advise how to balance these for the best visual results.
Q2: Do I need to provide vector files for production?
Not necessarily. If you provide high-resolution art, our design team can create a production-ready vector layout and guide you through the process.
Q3: What’s the minimum order quantity for hard enamel pins with print and special finishes?
Typically, our MOQ starts at 50 pcs per design. For larger orders or complex effects, we recommend ordering 60+ to optimize cost and detail.
