The Full Creation Journey of the Anna Gold‑Plated Enamel Pin

Design and Production Specifications

The Anna design was created as a highly detailed hard enamel pin with printing elements.
The specifications included a 4-inch vertical format, gold metal plating, and a layered art style featuring floral patterns and a serene figure. The artwork incorporated more than 20 distinct color codes, utilizing raised gold metal lines to separate areas of translucent and opaque enamels. Some parts of the design required special techniques: UV printing over clear enamel zones to achieve delicate highlights, and a 100% round gloss oil finish on specific details to create a depth effect.

Each pin is equipped with four rubber clutches to ensure stability and durability given its size and shape. The backside includes a custom backstamp featuring the client’s logo and limited-edition information. Packing specifications included individual PVC pouches and bubble bags to ensure safe transport and presentation.

Communication Process

From the very beginning of the project, our team worked closely with the client to translate the concept into technical artwork that could be manufactured. Initial digital renders were shared, including color maps, plating references, and backstamp layouts. The client carefully reviewed these and sent helpful feedback, which we incorporated immediately.

During the development phase, we provided updates at every critical step—mold creation, color selection, and print layer mapping.
Some example responses from the client included:

  • “I love the intricate flower details you added, they really elevate the piece.”
  • “Thank you for showing the UV print overlay; it looks exactly how I envisioned. Please move forward.”
  • “The proportions and colors are spot on now. Approved, payment sent.”

This collaborative approach ensured that every adjustment, such as refining the gradients on the flowers and adjusting the metal thickness for stability, met the client’s expectations before moving into production.

Post-Production and Client Feedback

After artwork approval, we proceeded with mold fabrication, a step where the design is translated into a physical template. Once the mold was done, raw metal bases were stamped and polished. Our artisans then applied the multiple enamel layers, carefully filling each zone with translucent, pearl, and glitter effects as specified. After wet grinding to smooth the surface, UV printed details were added on top of selected areas. A protective gloss oil layer was applied as the final touch to make the pin vibrant and durable.

Every finished pin underwent strict quality control (QC), where our team checked for color accuracy, smooth surfaces, and precise backstamp placement. After packaging, the batch was shipped securely.

The client’s final response was very positive:

  • “The finished pins look even better than I imagined. The colors are vibrant, and the details are amazing.”
  • “Thank you for keeping me updated through the process. I appreciate the attention to detail and quick turnaround.”
