Design and Some Production Processes

1. Artwork and Approval

The initial festival pin design was provided as a digital file, displaying the logo and text in a circular format. To ensure clarity, a technical drawing was created, specifying:

  • Materials: Hard enamel with a gold-plated finish.
  • Color Matching: Pantone 258 (purple), 4069 (red), 7401 (beige), and 1645 (orange) were chosen for accuracy.
  • Size: 1-inch diameter, an ideal size for visibility without being too large.
  • Enamel and Metal Details: Raised gold metal outlines with a white enamel base.

Finally, the client approved the artwork for production.

2. Mold Creation

The mold was crafted to precisely cut the shape and details of the festival pin.

3. Some Processes

Since this design required a mix of hard enamel and printed elements, the following steps were followed:

  • Hard enamel was filled into the recessed areas and baked at high temperatures for durability.
  • Wet grinding can make the metal lines on the pin visible
  • Polishing and plating were done to give the gold plating a high-gloss finish.
  • Screen printing was used for finer details, such as the festival name, to ensure readability.

4. Assembly and Quality Control

Once the pins were complete, they were fitted with rubber clutches. Each piece underwent strict quality control checks, focusing on:

  • Color accuracy and even enamel filling.
  • Proper attachment of the rubber clutch.
  • Surface smoothness and consistency of the metal finish.

5. Packaging and Delivery

To protect these festival pins during transit, they were packaged in individual PVC bags. A final batch of samples was sent to the client for approval before full-scale production.

Client Feedback and Reception

Upon receiving the final product, the client expressed high satisfaction with the quality and attention to detail.

  • “The pins perfectly capture our 70th-anniversary celebration. The gold finish and vibrant colors make them stand out beautifully!”
