This project involved close coordination between the client and our production team to deliver a polished, gold-plated hard enamel pin with screen-printed detailing, multi-point backing, and custom branding on the reverse side. The result was a vivid, highly detailed 2.5-inch enamel pin with strong visual impact and long-lasting appeal.

Design & Material Translation
The initial artwork was provided in a design photo. Our in-house design team transformed the image into a detailed work of art, with printing areas and enamel filled areas. Special attention was given to capturing the emotion and intensity of Bakugo’s signature explosive pose, ensuring his spiky hair, gauntlets, and energy burst translated crisply into metal and enamel.
The base material selected was zinc alloy. The chosen hard enamel process offered a smooth, glass-like surface, with each color cured flat and polished to shine. Gold plating was selected to highlight the linework and create rich contrast with the predominantly black-and-red palette of the character.
Some steps
The pin underwent a multi-stage production process:
- Mold Creation: A custom steel die was engraved with the design, including the character outline and explosion pattern.
- Blanks were created by mold.
- Color Filling: PMS-matched hard enamel colors were filled by hand, one at a time, and baked to set.
- Wet grinding and polishing: Wet grinding can make the metal lines on the pins visible. Polishing can make the pins have a smooth surface.
- Gold Plating: The pin was plated in gold for a premium metallic finish.
- Silk-Screen Printing: After polishing, fine details—such as facial lines, eye highlights, and fire accents—were silk-screened over the cured enamel.
- Packaging: These enamel pins are packed in pvc bags.
Quality Assurance and Fine-Tuning
Before mass production, a sample was provided for approval. During the sampling phase, the client requested:
- Increased contrast in the explosion effect using translucent color layers.
- Enhanced polish on Bakugo’s mask and gauntlets for more reflective highlights.
- More secure placement of screen-printed elements to avoid misalignment.
These refinements were successfully integrated into the production mold and the enamel fill protocols. After final approval, full production commenced with strict quality checks at every stage—from mold integrity to plating consistency and final polish.
Final Result and Client Feedback
The finished Boom Boom Hero enamel pin delivered a high-impact visual and tactile experience. The gold plating paired with the hard enamel gave the product a luxurious, durable finish. Details such as Bakugo’s eye expression and energy bursts popped clearly thanks to precise screen printing.

The enamel pin was packed in individual PVC bags. Every unit was inspected for polish quality, enamel leveling, and backstamp clarity before dispatch.
