Why Choose Spring Mechanism?
A spring mechanism adds a flexible, movable element to custom enamel pins, allowing part of the design to bounce, wobble, or gently move when touched or carried. This playful motion creates extra dimension and personality, turning a static pin into a more interactive, eye-catching, and memorable collectible.

Pins FAQ
Explore spring connections, wobble movement and design limits before planning your custom bobblehead pin.
How is the moving piece attached to the pin?
A spring and mounting base are bonded with adhesive to connect the moving piece. Depending on the artwork and viewing angle, part of the spring may remain visible.
Can I control how the moving piece wobbles?
The spring produces a side-to-side wobble, with about 30° as a design reference. Weight, balance and spring placement affect the final motion.
Which designs work best with a spring mechanism?
Compact heads, logos and other balanced shapes work best. Weight, center of gravity and the connection area need review to prevent drooping or weak attachment.
Can the fixed and moving pieces use different finishes?
Yes, both parts can use enamel, printing, plating or special effects. Finishes can be chosen separately for the fixed base and the moving piece.
Do the fixed base and moving piece need separate tooling?
Yes, the fixed base and moving piece require separate tooling. Both sets of tooling are retained for two years for repeat production.
Does a spring mechanism add production time?
Spring assembly adds work, but usually has little effect on small-batch lead times. The production schedule is confirmed for the design and quantity.
How is the spring mechanism checked before packing?
Before packing, we check that the moving piece wobbles as intended and that the spring connection is secure.
Can the moving piece rub against the base?
Some contact with the base can occur as the piece wobbles. We review clearance to reduce rubbing; avoid pulling or twisting the moving piece beyond its intended motion.
