Frequently Asked Questions

Can I start without finished artwork, and will I approve a proof?
Yes. Send your logo, sketch, illustration, reference image or rough idea, together with the product and size you have in mind. We review the artwork and provide a free digital proof for each design or variation. Production begins after the required approvals. For 3D products, the contour and relief review is covered in the product-specific FAQs.
How should I quote several products, designs or award levels?
List quantities for each product, design, colorway and recipient group, including any wording, finish or personalized variations. This can cover corporate award levels, donor chapters, school years, sports divisions or event audiences. We review and quote each variation, including its attachments, packaging and shipping requirements.
Which product and process are right for my design?
Send your artwork, intended use, approximate size, quantity and budget. We will review the detail and recommend suitable products, materials and production methods.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No. There is no minimum order quantity. Send the quantity you need for a quote; larger quantities generally reduce the cost per piece.
What determines the price, and are there tooling fees?
Price depends on product, size, quantity, process, finish, packaging and shipping. An initial mold fee applies when the design requires custom tooling; send your artwork and requirements for a detailed quote.
Can one design have different colors or metal finishes?
Yes. One design can be split into color or plating versions within an order. Specify the quantity for each version; color and plating changes incur additional charges.
When should I choose 3D cast instead of die-struck pins?
Choose 3D cast for rounded contours and gradual changes in relief height. Standard die-struck pins use stamping for crisp, raised and recessed metal details.
Can you turn flat artwork into a sculpted pin?
Yes. Our team can develop a 3D model from artwork, sketches or reference photos. You approve the model’s contours and relief before production, not just a flat outline.
How much detail can a small 3D cast pin show?
Rounded contours and height changes need room to remain distinct. Fine facial features, lettering or crowded details may need simplification or a larger finished size.
Can enamel color be added without hiding the 3D relief?
Yes, where the design provides suitable recessed areas for enamel. Color can accent selected details while exposed metal preserves the sculpted contours.
Can a 3D cast design include cutouts or decorative details?
Cutouts, laser-engraved lettering or numbering, and Rhinestone Setting can be added where the artwork allows. Placement depends on the contours and available space.
How do 3D enamel pins differ from 3D cast pins?
Both use sculpted metal relief. 3D enamel pins emphasize defined enamel color areas, while 3D cast designs emphasize the metal finish and may also include selected enamel accents.
