Pins FAQ
Explore pivot positions, rotation limits and finish options before planning your custom spinner pin.
How does the rotating piece stay attached?
A standard riveted connection holds the rotating piece to the fixed base while allowing it to turn. The pivot position is planned around the artwork and balance.
Can I choose the pivot position and rotation direction?
Centered or off-center pivots and horizontal or vertical rotation are possible. The center of gravity, balance and clearance determine a workable layout.
Can a spinner pin rotate a full 360 degrees?
Both full 360-degree rotation and a limited turning angle are possible. Show the intended movement in your artwork so the pivot and surrounding clearance can be planned.
What size and shape work best for a spinner pin?
Balanced shapes with room around the pivot work best. Final size depends on the rotating piece, its full movement path and space for the pin backing.
Which finishes can I combine with a spinner mechanism?
Hard or soft enamel, UV Printing, offset printing, cutouts and Epoxy Coating can be used. Each combination must preserve clearance around the rotating piece.
How do you reduce rubbing between the rotating parts?
Small raised supports create space between the rotating piece and base. Pivot alignment and balance also help reduce rubbing and wobble, though light contact may occur.
How does a spinner affect tooling and repeat orders?
Tooling for both parts is retained for two years. Design or structural changes require new tooling; the separate rotating piece and assembly also affect cost.
What do you check on finished spinner pins?
We check rotation for smoothness, excessive wobble and surface rubbing, plus the security of the pivot connection and pin backing before packaging.
