Which hinged pin designs may need structural adjustments?
Small covers, heavy lids, thin hinge edges or crowded interiors may need adjustments. Final size must allow room for the hinge, opening path and pin backing.
How far can a hinged cover open?
Many designs open to about 180°, but hinge position and surrounding parts can limit the range. Do not force the cover beyond the approved opening angle.
Can a hinged pin use magnetic closure?
A magnetic closure is a standard option when the design allows it. We review magnet placement to make sure it does not interfere with the artwork or hinge.
Can I add artwork inside the cover?
Artwork can appear on the front and inside of the cover, plus the fixed base. Show these views and the opening direction so hinge clearance can be planned.
Can hinged pins include printing, cutouts and special effects?
UV Printing, cutouts and special effects are available. Their placement must allow the cover to close and the hinge to move without obstruction.
Do the cover and base need separate tooling?
The cover and base usually need separate tooling, which is retained for two years. The final tooling setup depends on the approved hinge design.
How are hinged pins checked before shipment?
We repeatedly open and close hinges to check strength and movement, and inspect cover alignment, surface quality and backing fit before packaging.
