Why Choose UV Printing?

UV printing applies high-resolution full-color artwork directly onto the surface of custom pins, allowing designs to include fine details, gradients, small text, and complex color transitions that are difficult to achieve with traditional enamel alone. It offers greater visual flexibility while keeping the artwork crisp, vibrant, and highly detailed.

  • High-Resolution Detail

Reproduces fine lines, small text, patterns, and intricate artwork with excellent clarity.

  • Full-Color Printing

Supports rich multi-color designs without being limited by traditional enamel color separation.

  • Smooth Gradient Effects

Creates soft color transitions, shading, and tonal changes that are difficult to achieve with standard enamel.

  • Ideal for Complex Artwork

Perfect for illustrations, character details, logos, textures, and highly detailed graphic designs.

  • Flexible Surface Application

Apply UV printing to enamel, metal, or selected areas to add extra detail and visual contrast.

  • Perfect for Custom Designs

Ideal for branded pins, character artwork, promotional designs, detailed collectibles, and special editions.

Custom UV Printing
Pins FAQ

Plan printed details, white ink, color references and optional coatings for your custom pin design.

When should I choose UV Printing over other print methods?

UV Printing cures digital ink with ultraviolet light and suits gradients or detailed color. UV and offset use CMYK; Silkscreen Printing uses separate spot colors.

Which pin surfaces can receive UV Printing?

UV Printing can be used on enamel, exposed metal and plated surfaces. The surface must be clean, and we review the intended print areas and their geometry before production.

Can you print white ink or add gloss and raised details?

White ink, a white underbase, clear ink, spot varnish and layered ink are available. An underbase can help colors stand out on dark surfaces; mark the treatments you want.

How fine can printed text and lines be?

We review text, lines and alignment at the finished pin size. Small details must remain readable on the chosen surface, so some artwork may need enlarging or simplifying.

Can UV Printing match Pantone colors exactly?

UV Printing uses CMYK rather than spot-color inks. Pantone references guide color selection, but the substrate, white underbase and finish can affect the printed result.

How should I prepare artwork and check the proof?

Separate printed artwork from base colors and mark critical alignment points. The proof confirms placement and colors; finished prints are checked for alignment and clarity.

Does UV Printing require a separate plate or mold?

The digital print itself needs no printing plate or mold. A custom metal pin base may still need its own tooling, which is separate from the UV Printing process.

Does UV Printing need an Epoxy Coating?

Epoxy Coating is optional; specify whether you want it during design review. With or without it, avoid abrasive cleaners and rough contact, and wipe with a soft cloth.
