Why Choose Silkscreen Printing?
Silkscreen printing applies crisp, solid-color details directly onto the surface of custom pins, making it ideal for fine lines, small lettering, logos, and graphic elements that are difficult to create with metal outlines alone. It adds precise visual detail while maintaining the clean, bold appearance of the original enamel design.
-
Crisp Fine Details
Reproduces thin lines, small patterns, and delicate graphic elements with clean, sharp edges.
-
Clear Small Lettering
Ideal for adding small text, numbers, symbols, and other details that may be too fine for traditional enamel separation.
-
Bold Solid Colors
Produces strong, opaque spot colors that remain clean and visually distinct.
-
Precise Detail Placement
Apply printed details exactly where needed without adding extra metal lines or changing the main enamel structure.
-
Works on Multiple Surfaces
Can be applied over enamel or exposed metal areas to add another layer of graphic detail.
-
Perfect for Clean Graphic Designs
Ideal for logos, lettering, character details, icons, patterns, branded artwork, and limited editions.

Pins FAQ
Plan spot colors, fine lines, screen setup and artwork placement for your custom printed pin.
When should I choose Silkscreen Printing for a pin?
Silkscreen Printing applies solid spot colors through separate screens, making it suitable for logos, text and outlines. Choose UV or offset printing for gradients and shading.
Can Silkscreen Printing be applied over enamel or metal?
Selected enamel and exposed metal areas can receive silkscreen details when the surface supports clean ink transfer. Surfaces must be clean, and placement is reviewed first.
What are the minimum line width and spacing?
The minimum printed line is 0.1 mm, with 0.15–0.2 mm between printed elements to avoid merging. Use thicker lines and more space where possible, especially for small text.
How are spot colors affected by the pin’s base color?
We use spot-color inks, with your color references confirmed during proof review. Gold-colored bases can affect pale colors, which may need a thicker ink application.
What ink is used, and is white underprinting available?
We use oil-based ink cured at high temperature. White underprinting and specialty inks are not part of this process; discuss designs needing those treatments before production.
Does each color need a screen, and are screens kept?
Each printed color requires a separate screen and print pass, adding setup as colors increase. Screens are kept for three years; changed artwork may require new screens.
How should I prepare artwork and check print quality?
Supply vector artwork if possible, separate each spot color and mark its placement. The proof and finished-print checks cover color, alignment, edge clarity and registration.
